WE'LL PUT MEASURES IN PLACE TO AVERT FIRE OCCURRENCE-OGSG
The Ogun state government has reiterated its commitment to guide against fire occurrence in the state in order not to have a repeat of the fire disaster that happened at Lafenwa market.
This was made known during an official visit to the scene by the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to assess the impact of the Sunday 28 November fire incidence, on the affected stalls and other affected places where fire engulfed parts of the market shortly after a Petroleum tanker upturned.
The Governor who was represented by the State Commissioner for Transport Eng. Gbenga Dairo, in company of commissioners for special duties and intergovernmental affairs, Barr. Femi Ogunbanwo and Rural Development, Engr. Oludotun Taiwo also commiserated with the families of the victims who lost their lives during the inferno while expressing his shock at the looting and damages made on several stores which has led some of the markers vulnerable.
