OTA LG BOSS TO ENGAGE STAKEHOLDERS FOR DEVELOPMENT
The Executive Chairman Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adewale Musa has assured the citizens that his administration will engage all critical stakeholders before embarking on any projects.
The Chairman made this known during a meeting with the Zonal Community Development Committee ZCDC of the Local Government held at the Secretariat in Ota. Hon. Musa while addressing the community leaders expressed is intention to continually engage community leaders on matters of development in the Council areas. He further stated that there was no point in carrying out a project that are not needed by the people, the more reason why he will continue to identify with community leaders to know their needs, prioritise it and to partner with them where there is need to.
Speaking on the newly created polling units, the Council Boss charged the community leaders to sentizise the citizens on how to transfer their voters registration to new polling unit closer to them. He added that Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area has the largest number of polling units in Ogun State. He said that initially the council area has 277 polling units and 378 has now been added to make it 655 polling units. He urged the community leaders to partner with the government in ensuring that people are well mobilised to register in these polling units or transfer their registration to a polling unit closer to them.
Earlier speaking the leader of the Legislative Council of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Bukola Balogun Omosowan who was also present at the meeting informed the community leaders that Hon. Councillors representing various wards will meet with them and the Traditional Leaders to identify projects that need immediate attention in their various wards as this will be captured in the budget for next year. She further pleaded with the Community Leaders to cooperation with the Councillors so as to deliver people driven projects to the communities.
The Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Zonal CDC, Alhaji Aminu Taofeek appreciated the Chairman for honouring their invitation and pledged the support of Community Leaders to the success of his administration.
