JUST IN: Gov. Sanwo-Olu Reacts To Ikoyi Building Collapse, Orders Probe
Ekohotblog reports that the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reacted to the collapsed building which happened in the Ikoyi Area of the state on Monday and ordered probe into the incident.

The building which was under construction collapsed in the afternoon with many people feared trapped in the rubble.
In a statement by the governor’s aide, Gbenga Omotoso on Monday which was sighted by our correspondent and titled ‘Sanwo-Olu Orders Probe Of Gerrard Road Building Collapse,’ Sanwo-Olu said three persons have been rescued from the rubble.

According to the statement, “The Lagos State Government has called for calm over the collapse today of a 21-storey building, which is under construction on Gerrard Road, Ikoyi.
“Lagos Rescue Unit (LRU), Lagos State Fire Service and Lagos State Ambulance Services (LASAMBUS) are on the site, battling to save the lives of those under the rubble. Three persons have been rescued, even as the operations to save more lives continue.
