ABIODUN INAUGURATES AKARIGBO, CHAIRMAN OGUN COUNCIL OF OBAS
Governor Dapo Abiodun will on Monday 25th October inaugurates the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi as the new Chairman Ogun Council of Obas.
This is contained in a release signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun, he said the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland would take over the affairs of the council from the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Adetona, following the expiration of his tenure.
The inauguration of the new Chairman according to Fagbohun would be performed by His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun at the Conference Hall, Oba's Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta by 11am.
The release stated further that the 2021 Statutory Quarterly Meeting of the Council would hold immediately after the inauguration adding that only invited Permanent and rotational members are expected at the meeting with strict adherence to the COVID-19 protocols.
He said invited Council members and guests were all expected to be seated by 10am.
