BE MORE COMMITTED TO ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE, LG BOSS CHARGES STUDENTS
The Chairman, Yewa North Local Government, Hon. Gabriel Ogunyomi has charged students in public primary and secondary schools in the area to be more committed and determined in their academic pursuit.
Hon. Ogunyomi, who advised the students during monitoring to schools for the resumption of 2021/2022 academic session, noted that their outstanding academic performance would spur government to invest more in the education sector.
He called on parents and guardians not to relent in giving the best to their wards, saying, ‘’they will live long to reap the fruits of their labour’’.
Responding, the Principal, Comprehensive High School (Senior), Ayetoro, Mr. Sulaimon Sekunmade and the Head Teacher, Roman Catholic Mission (RCM) Primary School 1, Ayetoro, Mrs. Oluseyi Usman commended the State government for its huge investment in education, saying the staff and students of the schools were prepared for the resumption, as academic works had started in earnest.
Other schools visited were African Church Primary School, United Primary School, Ajoda High School all in Ayetoro and many within the council area.
