MORE ATTENTION IS ON RURAL DEVELOPMENT NOW-ABIODUN
Governor Abiodun dropped the hint after inspecting the Orile-Oko road in Remo North Local Government Area, in continuation of his Local Government campaign for the All Progressives Congress ahead of the forthcoming council's elections, noting that effort would be intensified to improve standard of living of the rural dwellers, as they are integral part of the State.
He said the Orile-Oko road from Iyankan leads to about 105 communities, which are mainly farmers serving as food basket to Remoland and Egbaland, saying, “the construction of the road will be completed between 9 and 12 months and benefit the people immensely”.
The Governor said 60 projects have so far been executed in Remo North Local Government Area, while contract for the construction of the Sagamu-Iperu-Ode road has been awarded, adding that his administration would complete the Model School at Isara and put it into economic use.
Speaking at Obafemi/Owode Local Government Area, Governor Abiodun stated that 82 road projects had been constructed in the last two years within the council area, assuring that work would commence on the Siun-Owode road soon.
