MORNACH, CLERIC ENJOIN NIGERIANS TO UPHOLD UNITY
Nigerians have been called upon to embrace mutual love and kindness, as part of ways to have peaceful co-existence for the progress of the country.
The Olu of Ilaro and Paramount ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, who made this known during the fourth Ramadan lecture/Iftar programme in his palace at Ilaro in Yewa South Local Government Area, said Muslim faithful should not to relent in praying for the peace and development of the nation, urging them to move closer to God even after the Ramadan period.
Oba Olugbenle, implored citizens of Yewaland to sustain their support to Governor Dapo Abiodun led administration, adding that the government was determined to spread dividends of democracy to every nooks and crannies of the State.
Speaking, a Missionary, Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, Ilaro, Alhaji Sulaimon Ogunkanmi, stressed that people should continue to live together in unity at all times, calling on those in authority, especially the judiciary system to always dispense justice without fear or favour, for citizens to build confidence in it.
“Love and kindness to one another are major keys to have peaceful atmosphere in the country vis-a-vis economic progress. Our judicial workers should always uphold the tenet of fairness and justice, so that people can have confidence in the judicial system of Nigeria”, Ogunkanmi said.
A special prayer was held for President Muhammad Buhari, Governor Dapo Abiodun, Ogun State and Nigeria in general.
