The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has reassured residents that his administration will not rest on its oars, until the issues of insecurity are totally dealt with, as any act of lawlessness, banditry, criminality, will not be condoned.
Prince Abiodun who made this affirmation in his office when he received the new Brigade Commander, 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala, Brigadier General Adewale Adekoya, emphasised that his administration would continue to put in place the necessary security infrastructure, for safety of the nation and better future for the people of the State.
"My administration will continue to take issues of security very seriously as we are also determined to host sons and daughters of the State, who are high ranking officers in the Nigerian Army, Navy and Police, in a bid to congratulate and motivate them, and see how the State government can collaborate with them’’, he said.
The State helmsmen noted that necessary infrastructure being put in place, as well as the security infrastructure are very key to attracting more investors.
Governor Abiodun, while commending the former Brigade Commander for being a committed, dedicated, focused and reliable member of the security team of the State, charged the new one to be firm in his duties to the people.
In his remarks, the former Brigade Commander, 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala, Brigadier General Joseph Amadasun, appreciated the State Governor for his unalloyed support to security agencies, which had contributed to his success.
Brigadier General Adewale Adekoya on his part said he is highly delighted to work in his State of origin, promising to do his best to continue to make the State more secured for the people.
Brigadier General Adekoya is an indigene of the State, who hails from Ago-Iwoye in Ijebu-North Local Government Area.
