 MINISTRY GIVES OUT WORKING TOOL FOR EFFICIENCY

The Ogun State Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, has given out generators, desktop computers, printers, customised t-shirts and reflective jackets, to officers in the newly established Ota Zonal Office in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the State.


Commissioner in the Ministry, Mrs. Kikelomo Longe, while making a symbolic presentation of the equipment in Ota, said the move was to ensure that workers have modern tools to work with for improved productivity, in the actualisation of the Ministry’s objectives.

‘’ The present administration is working to ensure that the zonal offices under the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, have the needed equipment in place for the comfort of the workers to achieve efficient service delivery. I believe this step taken by the Ministry will spur you to perform better’’, she said.

The Commissioner who urged the Officers to make good use of the tools and ensure their proper maintenance, to derive optimal value, saying ‘’to whom much is given, much is expected. I look forward to getting reports about tremendous improvement in your productivity’’.

Speaking earlier, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Olu. Ola. Aikulola said the Ministry has created 12 new Zonal Offices in the last one year, bringing the number of Zonal Offices to 21 across the State, with Ota having two Offices due to the high concentration of businesses in the zone.

Aikulola noted that the Ministry also renovated its old Zonal Offices and has ensured that both old and newly created Offices were well equipped with furniture and relevant gadgets for workers to render quality service, charging the workers to improve on the Internally Generated Revenue target of the Ministry.

Responding on behalf of other benefiting officers, a Principal Geologist, Mr. Tunde Kareem and a Commercial Officer, Mrs. Monisola Akinola, lauded the management of the Ministry for enhancing their working condition, assuring that they are motivated to continue to improve on their service delivery.
