COMM HARPS ON DUE RECOGNITION FOR WOMEN
The role and contributions of women to the development of the society cannot be over emphasised, hence they must be accorded due recognition and benefits.
Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Honourable Afolabi Afuape stated this while receiving an award as Man of the Year 2021 from Nigeria Labour Congress Women Committee, Ogun Sate Chapter, appreciating the gesture of the group to count him worthy of the award.
He assured that his office would continue to give recognition to the womenfolk, saying the award would spur him to contribute more to the upliftment of the society.
The Council Women Committee represented by Comrade Taiwo Adebesin said the awardee was honoured to rappreciate his contribution to the plight of women emancipation in all strata of the society, as she affirmed that the commissioner remained a good ambassador of the political class.
Other executive members present at the presentation were Comrade Alice Oke and Comrade Wunmi Folarin.
