AGEGE NEVER HAD IT SO GOOD: OBASA'S GIANT STRIDES.

It is indisputable that the Rt. Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, has facilitated more developmental projects to Agege than any known political leader or government functionary, whether dead or alive. This candid assertion is not made to denigrate the achievements and personalities of past and present Agege leaders but to say it in the open, that, Agege never had it so good.

No doubt, their achievements was like a foundation on which Mr. Speaker is erecting present and future developments.

His personality and current position as the number three citizen of Lagos State, which comes with influence, has been judiciously used to better the lots of Agegians.

Mr. Speaker has brought to bear the value of his over two decades experience in lawmaking, performing oversight functions and moving motions both as a Councillor between 1999 and 2002 in Agege Local Government Area and as a member of Lagos State House of Assembly representing Agege Constituency 01 from 2003 till date.

Obasa's penchant and enthusiasm for masses-oriented programmes have seen him firing on all cylinders and this has culminated in the construction of the Pen Cinema(Agege Bridge), which by the time it is opened for public use in the next few days, will become the longest bridge to have ever been built by the Lagos State Government since it was created in 1967.

It must be clearly stated that the bridge is a link to Ikeja Local Government, Ifako-ijaiye local government, Ojokoro Local Council Development Area and the Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area. This is to justify his position as Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker and not only as Agege Constituency 01 representative.

Similarly, the Lagos State number three citizen's political ingenuity has led to the formation of Agege Leadership Council. This Council is a composition of top and honest politicians (both current and serving) in the class of Chief Safari Adisa Adaranijo, Professor Tunde Samuel, Chief Ganiu Owolabi-Dada, Elder Sunday Ajide to mention but a few. The body was formed to play advisory roles in Agege's political and social environments as well as chart a course for peace, security and modernity.

The Speaker has also facilitated the tarring and construction of many streets and roads in Agege and Orile-Agege. From Tijani street to Oluwole Olaniyan street, Oyewole Street,  Ishajimi street, Irepodun street, Oyewole road, Opeolu street,  Efunsetan street,Opawale street, Abari, street, Adewunmi Adebiyi street, Sura Ogunmakin street, Kolawole street, Bakare  Opesha street,Abibatu street, Abusatu street,Olafimihan street, Adebambo street, Kelani street, Kareem Babatunde, Kibishile street , Olabode street is under construction, Igbayilola street is under construction, part of Kushoro street is under construction, Awori street, Abeje street, Adenle street Morikaz street, Abimbola street, Adeshola street, Shitta street, Salawu street, Oke Ayo street, Oseni street, Awori street, Ijaiye street, Fisher street, Ogunjimi/Jafojo street, Boluro street, street light-Sanni Omomeji and Rauf Alajo, Olusanya street, Alfa Nla street, Market street, Capitol road, Oniwaya road, to mention but a few.
