OTA LG CHAIRMAN WARNS AGAINST ROADSIDE TRADING

Traders have been warned against display of their goods beside the road as it causes traffic jam for motorists and make people vulnerable to road accidents.



The Transition Committee Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Mr. Wasiu Lawal who gave the warning at the Local Government Secretariat, Ota, said that any trader caught henceforth, would be made to face the wrath of the law. 


The LG boss frowned at the traffic jam being experienced by motorists along the axis, occassioned by display of goods beside the road and directed all traders to display their wares at designated places.


"It is very risky to display their goods along road sides. Many lives have been lost due to care-free attitude on the part of many people and that, we won't tolerate. We, as government must see to the protection of lives and property and this lawlessness must stop", he affirmed.


He appealed to residents and traders to maintain orderliness at public places, shun all forms of misconduct and comply to all government's regulations especially at this  second wave of Covid-19.
