The Chief Executive Officer of Ijamido Children’s home, Ota, Dr. Mrs Victoria Abosede Amoke Obakoya, Nee Willoughby passed on in the early hours of Wednesday at age 62
Madam Obakoya took over the mantle of leadership from a Jamaican, Chief Mrs Willoughby, who worked at Maternity hospital at the local government.
In the course of giving birth to Dr Mrs Victoria Obakoya, her mother died and out of pity, Chief Mrs Willoughby decided to adopt her and she became the first child of Ijamido Ophanage home.
The details news gathered that, Madam Obakoya was formerly a teacher but, later resigned because of the passion and eversince,Dr Victoria had since outlived the founder to become the CEO and controller of the home.
It is pertinent to note that Ijamido children home for decades of operation has strived to keep and maintain clean records of operation compare to many others with questionable and constant visitation of security operatives to probe one foggy situation or the other.
Under the meticulous administration of Dr Obakoya,the home has attracted Noble attention from both individuals and corporate organisations so the reasons Ijamido home has become household name in Ogun state and neighbouring states.
It would interest one to hear that Children taken to the centre has become successful in their chosen field of studies. It was once reported that one of the products of Willoughby home had become an international football star playing abroad. Several of them had grown up and even join in the administration of the home while many had got married both male and female living happily in their respective families and businesses..
