PHCDB PROPOSES OVER N6.5BILLION FOR CAPITAL EXPENDITURE

In its effort to provide efficient healthcare service delivery to residents, the Ogun State Primary Healthcare Development Board has proposed N6,530,133,000 for its capital expenditure in the 2021 fiscal year.

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr. Elijah Ogunsola made the request during the 2021 Treasury Board meeting, at the Conference Hall, Oba’s Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

He disclosed that 66 percent of the fund would be expended on rehabilitation of the 116 primary health care centers yet to be captured.

"The larger percentage of this budget is our capital expenditure which is N6,530,133,000, purposely to log on to your vision at ensuring rehabilitation of the remaining PHCs spread across the wards”, he stated.

He appreciated the Governor for fast tracking the basic health care provision fund by the Federal Government, noting that it would ensure the State delivered on its health care provision promises to the people in the coming year.
