OGSG EMPOWERS WOMEN, PROVIDES VOCATIONAL SKILLS

 Towards ensuring that more women become independent and employers of labour, Ogun State Government has shown commitment to empowering women through vocational skill acquisition.


Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Funmi Efuwape made this known in Abeokuta at the final assessment of year 2020 trainees of Women Development Center, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta.

Efuwape, who explained that the exercise was aimed at bringing out the uniqueness of the trainees, advised them to always give the best to their customers, as the first impression lasts longer, promising that after the final examination, the best trainee would be duly rewarded.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Women Affairs, Hon. Adijat Adeleye during her inspection tour to the final assessment of the 8th set of trainees, appreciated the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for sustaining the program not minding the economic effect of COVID- 19 pandemic on the State.

Earlier, in her welcome address, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs. Melutia Ogunremi said government through the program would continue to  develop indigenous human resources as well as reduce the numbers of unemployed women in the state.

Speaking on behalf of the trainees, Miss Adubi Kehinde and Miss Awode Grace appreciated the government and the Ministry for giving them the privilege, promising to put to practice everything learnt.
