ADO-ODO/OTA RESIDENTS ENJOY FREE GLASSES, OTHERS

Supporting government to give no fewer than 600 residents of Ado-Odo/ Ota Local Government free sight preservation exercise with the donation of free glasses to the less privileged individuals, white canes to blind people, welding glasses to iron benders (welders), sun/preventive glasses to motorcyclists has been described as key towards a better society .

The Transition Committee Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Alhaji Wasiu Lawal, ably represented by Hon Kuyebi Olawale, made this declaration while presenting his speech during
20th Presidential inaugural program of the 2020/2021 Organised by  Ota Diamond Lions Club (ODLC) at the Mockland Hotel Hall in Ota.

Alhaji Lawal commended the efforts of
Ota Diamond Lions Club (ODLC) under  District 404B, International Association of Lions Club for deeming it fit to be part of Governor Dapo Abiodun's led- administration of " Building Our Future Together" agenda which encompasses, all hands to be on desk.

"The Medical outreach was to complement government’s efforts at giving adequate healthcare delivery to the people in the Community and the State in general", LG boss said.

According to the newly swore-in President of the Club for the year 2020/2021 of Ota Diamond Lions Club, Lion Mustapha Olayiwola Ajelara, one of the major health issues adopted by the largest family in humanitarian services provider is to assist the needies in the society adding that through its humanitarian service delivery, lives have been made meaningful to many less privileged in the society.

He added that his tenure would focus on the laid down humanitarian service delivery of Lions Clubs International, that would continue to make life more meaningful to the less-priviledged in the society saying that the medical outreach for the residents in our area is part of our own little way of giving back to the society as government alone cannot do it all.

One of the benefiaries , Mr Olalekan Ayeni appreciated the gesture of ODLC for organising the outreach, saying the pandemic has made it difficult for many to afford hospital's bill because of the economic hardship posed by the pandemic urging other organisations to emulate a good gesture.
