Armed soldiers have reportedly dispersed some protesting youths at Sokale, Dutse Alhaji and the FO1 area of Kubwa on Tuesday morning.
The troops were said to have shot into the air to disperse the #EndSARS protesters who had gathered to begin the day’s protest.
While passers-by scampered for safety, residents who were still in their homes immediately shut their doors.
Motorists and commuters on the Bwari-Dutse Alhaji Road were stranded by the ensuing traffic jam.
The protesters had erected a barricade at the Sokale roundabout and Winners road in preparation for the rally when the security operatives aborted their protest.
Findings also indicate that the Kuje axis of the Federal Capital Territory has again been blocked by #EndSARS activists barely 24 hours after they barricaded the road and were chased away by suspected hoodlums.
Our correspondent reports that Kuje residents are currently struggling to beat the traffic gridlock in the area.

Tell youths to be patient with govt, Abdulrazaq urges traditional rulers
Published October 20, 2020
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Monday appealed to traditional rulers in the state to plead with the youth involved in the #EndSARS protest across the country to be patient with the Federal Government on the implementation of their demands.
Abdulrazaq, who held a meeting with the first-class traditional rulers in the state to brief them on the security situation, minimum wage question and developmental issues in the state on Monday, said, “People are free to protest. It is a democratic right. What we call for is that this should be peaceful. I urge you to please let the message go round to our young ones to keep this peaceful. They should not allow people with ulterior motives to hijack the protest. We do not have other country than Nigeria.”
Speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, said they are ready to stand by the government to maintain peace and guarantee harmony for economic prosperity.
