MINISTRY’S STAFF TASKED ON GOOD CONDUCT

Ogun State Ministry of Youth and Sports staff have been charged to remain focused and maintain cordial relationship with one another through good character and integrity at all time.

The Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Engr. Abiodun Layiwola made this known at the retirement of the Director of Planning and Research, Mr. Ebenezer Ogundele, at the ministry’s Conference Hall MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta.

Layiwola enjoined the workforce to emulate Ogundele’s dedication to duty. “I am here to rejoice with my brother who is bowing out of service and I thank God for his life. I want to implore our officers to emulate his good virtue, so that the service will be a better place”, he said.

Speaking earlier, the Director of Administration and Supplies, Alhaji Kalejaiye Tunji appreciated God in the life of the retired Director, who he described as a diligent and humble officer, calling on the staff to learn from his personality.

In his goodwill message, the Director of Employment Generation, Alhaji AbdulHakeem Ashimi, said Mr. Ogundele is God-fearing, hardworking and full of integrity, saying the officers would continue to see him as an achiever and good mentor.

In his short exhortation read from Psalm 136 :1-7, a staff of the ministry, Mr. Vincent Job, said the bible passage would work for every child of God, adding that everyone should be grateful to God in whatever circumstances they might find themselves and always take Him as their guide. “We give thanks to the Lord, for what he has done for our brother, as he retires today, may the good Lord be your guide and keep you”.

Responding, Mr. Ogundele thanked the management and staff for their support while in service, urged them to remain focus, faithful and dedicated to work.

Highlight of the event was presentation of gifts.
