In Compliance to Prince Dapo Abiodun led-administration to further curtail unlatched containerised trucks on the roads,  the Trace Corps Commander/CEO, Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, Abdulfatai Olaseni Ogunyemi, has directed  the Agency's operatives  to unite with sister's agencies  to apprehend erring drivers.

The Corps Commander,  'Seni Ogunyemi  disclosed this in a press briefing in his office, Abeokuta, capital of Ogun State saying the rate of accident involving unlatched containers are alarming and unbearable.

He emphasised that majority of the trucks are unlatched  adding that  focus will be on offences, of driving without valid licence, driving under influence of drugs or alcohol, driving with worn-out tyres, and testing drivers with alcoholism which in no doubt can lead to fatal accidents  on the roads.

TRACE boss urged logistics company to ensure their drivers are well trained with valid driver's licence and vehicles are road worthy before embarking on a journey noting that any erring driver apprehended would be mandated to go for psychiatric evaluation test, his vehicle confiscated  as well prosecuted.

He added TRACE and other sister agencies have commenced rigorous public enlightenment at trucks and trailers parks across the state.

The Corps Commander enjoined  motorists to always obey traffic rules while on the wheel, noting that TRACE would always have zero tolerance for traffic indisciplines that could jeopardize peoples' lives and property as a result of avoidable crashes.
