Newly Installed  Oba Elemuren  Urged to Support Government with his People

Ogun State Government has called on the new Elemuren of Emuren, Oba Adesegun Alowonle to mobilize his people, to support successful implementation of the laudable and people oriented programmes of the present administration.

The State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who made the call at the installation and presentation of Staff of Office to the new Kabiyesi of Elemuren in Sagamu Local Government Area, said government was committed to the development of all sectors of the State economy for the citizenry.

Represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Afolabi Afuape, Governor Abiodun said the only way to hasten development and take the State to the zenith was through prompt payment of taxes and levies, calling on the people to join hands in moving the State forward.

He assured that Government would continue to make life comfortable for its citizens through provision of necessary infrastructure, urging the people of Emuren to give maximum support to Oba Alowonle, to accelerate development of the community.

In his welcome address, the Chairman Caretaker Committee, Sagamu Local Government, Hon. Olugbenga Banjo, said the installation of the new Elemuren would facilitate development and peaceful co-existence among the people and Sagamu at large, pledging the council’s unflinching support to the new Kabiyesi.

Oba Alowonle in his response, appreciated the Governor for consenting to his installation, soliciting government’s intervention in rehabilitating Sagamu-Okeselu-Emuren road that links the community.
