GOV. ABIODUN APPROVES CONSTRUCTION OF THREE NEW FIRE STATIONS
As part of measures to reduce loss of lives and property, characterised with fire outbreaks, the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has approved the construction of two fire stations at Ifo Local Government and one at Isheri, in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of the State.

Speaking while inspecting one of the fire trucks, recently acquired by the State Government at the arcade ground, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Governor Abiodun said it was the desire of his administration to ensure that all areas within the State have standard fire stations that could respond adequately to emergencies.
He noted that government had taken stock of the existing fire stations across the State and was embarking on comprehensive rehabilitation, to make the buildings more habitable, saying, apart from ordering for new fire trucks, his administration had refurbished existing trucks for efficient service delivery.

"I have approved the construction of two fire stations in Ifo Local Government and another at Isheri North, which is in Obafemi-Owode area. We are also relocating the one around Mowe-Ibafo, to make it more visible. You need to see the current state of those existing fire stations, I’m not sure they have seen any form of rehabilitation since they were built, they are unbefitting", he said
