In a bid to ease the stress and effects of pandemic on the road users the Chief Executive Officer, Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) has charged operatives of the agency to render necessary and friendly assistance to motorists as and when due.
According to him the operatives should be on duty 24 hours, especially at black spots and respond quickly to emergency situations from motorists.
The Ogun Corps Commander of TRACE, Mr Seni Ogunyemi, gave the charge while speaking to a group of journalists in Ota adding that the need for such assistance is necessitated , following the ugy incident that occurred at the Headquarter, Abeokuta,where a man took his life by taking snipper,after his inability to pay statutory fine.
According to him the operatives should be on duty 24 hours, especially at black spots and respond quickly to emergency situations from motorists.
urging the operatives to help promptly in assisting motorists at their maximum prerogatives in the case of vehicle broke down.
'The specified vehicles having mechanical faults, fuel issues, are in need of direction, other complaints should be assisted in every possible way,
public can always come to the TRACE headquarters to seek redress when dissatisfied with any treatment meted against them in any of our Command centers', he said.
Responding, Commander, Area 4, Adekunle Ajibade said it is of paramount important to always be of assistance to motorists especially at this time of economic - Melo-down urging the motorists to adhere to traffic rules and properly check their vehicles to reduce road accident to the barest minimum.
