ADHERE TO GOVERNMENT'S REGULATIONS ON COVID-19, TRACE OFFICERS URGED

Officers of Ogun State Traffic  Compliance  and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) have been urged to be disciplined and observe all government's regulations on COVID-19 safety measures while on duty.

The Chief Executive  Officer of the Corps,  Abdulfatai Olaseni Ogunyemi, gave the administration, while on monitoring  tour to Ado-Odo /Ota Area Command.

He enjoined Corps personnel to always take their safety and personal hygiene first while on duty, as they would continue to have direct contacts with traffic offenders and road crash victims.


The Corps Commander enjoined the personnel to keep working diligently and observe all COVID 19 protocols, revealing that it has been 95 days now that the officers and men have been working tirelessly in enforcing government's  directives against the spread of the deadly pandemic in the State, for the past 95 days.

"Our men have been thoroughly sensitised on every health advice that would prevent them from contracting the deadly virus. All we expect from them as law enforcement agency, is to strictly obey the rules and regulations that would also guarantee their safety while on duty and even beyond.

He advised motorists to always drive cautiously, especially during this raining season, condemning reckless driving as life has no duplicates.

"Imbibe on defensive driving culture and ensure your vehicles are in good working condition with functioning components. Avoid excess speed, wrongful overtaking, driving at night and drugs or alcohol on the pretence of cold during this raining season, even with the condition of road", he warned.
