LET'S FIND SPIRITUAL MEANS TO CURE COVID-19- OLUWO FANIYI
Ogun State Coordinator of Traditional Worshipers Association, Oluwo Fasola Faniyi has implored all the traditional rulers to administer Obaluaye, the custodian of healing as an antidote to deal with the menace of Corona Virus, a global disease that has claimed many lives in the world.
Speaking with the journalists in an interview in Ota, Oluwo Faniyi said in the olding days, there were emergence of unknown diseases in which sacrifice and offering were made to Obaluaye against the spreading of disease together with special appeasement in order to fight the disease spiritually.
Faniyi added that we should not leave aside the spiritual aspect on the vagary of uncertainty imploring all the traditionalists to pray with their various deities in all parts of the country.
"The traditional worshipers should use their wisdom to tackle issue like this, this is an avenue to showcase our belief and to convince the governments that tradition still works as an antidote, in order to contribute our quota to our community, I think this should be part of it", Faniyi said.
He enjoined the traditional worshipers to abide with the government regulations saying all the traditional festivals going on should stop, no gathering above fifty should be constituted, washing of hands regularly adding that spiritual cure should be sought with immediate effect.
Faniyi disclosed that all the traditional worshipers in Ogun State are fully in supports of Governor Dapo Abiodun led administration adding that they will do the needful to deal with the present situation.
Oluwo Faniyi advised that individual's house hold should endeavour to put 'Akoko' leaf at their various entrances and 'Tagiri' at the corners of the houses for precautions .
