Dear people of Ogun state,
Truth be told, Governor Dapo Abiodun deserves some accolades for extending the proposed total lockdown in the state till 3rd of April, in order people to get prepared.
My dear Ogun people, please take advantage of the extension by Governor Dapo Abiodun to really around and get prepared. Kindly stock enough food stuff at home and also keep enough cash within. I tell you, to face and cope with total lockdown is not an easy thing.
Here we are in Lagos, despite the stubborness and arrogance that have glued with our people to always dare and bypass whatever seems to be too harsh and hard for them to cope with, just less than 24hours lockdown, Lagosians have started complaning of hunger and boredom. Many are those who are feeling as if they are already in bondage. Even me, I am almost having the same feeling right now, as my wife and baby are currently away to grandma's place and no one to blow-off the boredom.
No light, no cooked food in the house and no food vendor or eatery within, no gathering of people to while away time, no viewing centre to watch Premiership, La Liga, Seria-A, etc. All leagues have even been suspended since. No trusted friend to visit without the fear of contracting Coronavirus, and so on.
Though, I am still doubting if this lockdown in Lagos will last for 14days as proposed because, things are really getting tougher.
This post is just a call to everyone yet to be locked down, especially Ogun people, to get prepared for the worst.
In conclusion, I thank Governor Dapo Abiodun personally for having the people's sympathy at heart, and I pray to God to bless everyone abundantly to get prepared.
May God continue to lead us alright and help us to overcome this Coronavirus.
Thank you all.
I am - Westo Adekunle Adejumo.
