Ogun Governorship: AKT Courts Grassroots Support for Senator Yayi

Akintunde Odeyemi (AKT) is strengthening grassroots mobilisation in support of Senator Adeola Olamilekan Solomon, popularly known as Yayi, as he seeks to become the next governor of Ogun State.

As part of the initiative, AKT met with women and community leaders from Abeokuta South and Abeokuta North last Friday, bringing together ward-level stakeholders for discussions centred on Yayi’s governorship ambition.

The meeting highlights the growing emphasis on grassroots engagement as political activities ahead of the Ogun governorship election begin to attract greater attention.

By engaging community and women leaders, AKT is seeking to build stronger connections with local constituencies and expand support for Yayi across the Abeokuta axis.

The participation of ward-level stakeholders also underscores the importance of community networks in political mobilisation, particularly in reaching residents and building awareness around a candidate’s ambition.

As the contest for Ogun State’s top political office gradually takes shape, AKT’s engagement represents an effort to strengthen Yayi’s grassroots presence and rally support from key community figures.

The mobilisation drive reinforces the role of local political structures in shaping the build-up to the governorship election.
