 LG BOSS COMMENDED ON IMPROVED WASTE MANAGEMENT, ROAD MAINTENANCE

The Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Alhaji Lawal Wasiu has received commendation for his efforts in improving waste management and promoting good governance.

The LG Boss was commended during a courtesy visit by the Ado-Odo/Ota Hoteliers Association in his office at the local government secretariat, Ota.

Responding, the Chairman acknowledged the visit of the hoteliers  and revealed that it took a concerted effort to continually ensure that the LG remained clean always saying that LG would continuously improve waste management services and address the issue of multiple taxation raised by the association, while promising to upgrade the website of the local government.

He noted that the local government relies on Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) to function and urged the association to pay their levies and taxes to support the development of the local government. He explained that the local government legislative arm makes bylaws, which guide the operation of the local government, and that the IGR was essential for its operations.

Alhaji Lawal also noted that the local government was working on improving waste management and would address the issue of multiple taxation raised by the association. He promised to grade some roads and improve the website of the local government.

Earlier speaking, the Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota Hoteliers Association, Otunba Raphael Adeshina commended the local government  boss for his efforts on infrastructural development and social amenities, acknowledging his efforts in grading affected roads across the 16 wards of the local government, renovation  of schools and improved access to healthcare.
