 Ado-Odo/Ota LG to Conduct Second Round of Immunization Plus Days



The Health Educator of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Dr. Augustine Bankole, has announced that the Ogun State Primary Health Care Development Board (OGPHECADEP) will conduct the second round of Immunization Plus Days (NIPDs) and New Born & Child Health Week from Saturday, June 28th to Tuesday, July 1st.


The Ogun State Health Educator, Ado- Odo/Ota Local Government, Dr. Augustine Bankole made this declaration conveyed  in the press release from his office at the Local Government Secretariat.

According to Dr. Bankole, the exercise is a collaborative effort between the Federal, State, and Local Governments, as well as partners, targeting children aged 0-59 months across the state. 

Bankole explained that the program aims to vaccinate eligible children against Polio Paralysis with Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV), provide Vitamin A supplementation for children aged 6-59 months, and administer Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccines to girls aged 9-14 years to prevent cervical cancer.

He said during the exercise, health workers will visit homes, schools, churches, mosques, marketplaces, and motor parks to provide these services free of charge. Dr. Bankole emphasized that the HPV vaccine is a crucial step in protecting the girl child from cervical cancer.

He emphasized that the he exercise is expected to reach a wide audience, saying  residents are encouraged to take advantage of the free services to protect their children and daughters.
