 MINISTER ASSURES OGUN MORE DEVELOPMENTAL PROJECTS

The Minister of State for Environment, Dr. Isiaq Salako has assured the people of Ogun State of more developmental projects, to further improve the socio-economic well-being of the people.

Dr. Salako gave the assurance during the 2023 Ayetoro-Yewa Festival of Tradition and Culture and Grand Reception in his honour, held at Comprehensive High School, Ayetoro, disclosing the synergy between the Federal Government and the present administration has yielded results, noting that their unique approaches to governance have enabled the citizenry to enjoy dividends of democracy.




The Minister lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun for creating an enabling environment for the Ogun West Senatorial District to thrive, saying the mutual collaboration has engendered and attracted more socio-economic development.

Salako, listed some ongoing Federal Government projects in the Ogun West Senatorial District, including a Storey Building of 12 Classrooms at Government Technical College, the re-construction of Omidokun Ultramodern Town Hall in Oke-Oyinbo, as well as the reconstruction of the one-kilometre Oja-Agbe road, all in Ayetoro, said efforts would be intensified to facilitate more people-oriented projects.

He commended the commitment of the Chairman Senate Committee on Appropriation, Senator Solomon Adeola at facilitating some developmental projects to the State, saying his appointment and position as Minister is a call to serve the nation and he would continue to give his best to facilitate projects that would have direct bearing on people’s lives.

Speaking, the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun described the people of Ogun West Senatorial District of the State as a growing formidable force and strong pillar that has contributed to the success of his administration in the last five years.

 Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Tokunbo Talabi, implored the people of the town to continue to live in harmony with one another and give more support to the present administration both at the State and Federal level.

In their separate remarks, the duo of former State Deputy Governors, Prince Segun Adesegun, who doubles as Chairman of the Day and Alhaja Salimot Badru, called for more unity among the people of Ayetoro-Yewa area of the State.

Earlier, the Chairman of Central Ayetoro Yewa Day Organising Committee, Elder Kunle Amosun applauded the present administration for improving the well-being of the people through the provision of social amenities, saying the development would boost the profile of the town with an appeal for more intervention projects across the District.
