OGIRS TO REWARD BEST PERFORMING TAX STATIONS -CHAIRMAN

In its determination to gear up the efforts of Tax Officers in the Ogun State Internal Revenue Service, (OGIRS) towards improving revenue generation into the government's coffers, a reward system for the best 3 performing tax stations would be put in place with effect from year 2024.

The Executive Chairman of OGIRS, Mr. Olugbenga Olaleye, disclosed this on day 2 of the Agency's 2023 Q1 to Q3 Budget Performance Review session held at Oba’s Complex in Abeokuta.

The Chairman said the reward system would bring about healthy competition that would make them put on their thinking caps and drive them to go the extra mile to achieve the set revenue target.

Olaleye disclosed further that the process of selecting the best-performing tax stations would be holistic, fair, and equitable, noting that qualifications for these rewards would include other parameters apart from the revenue figure reported.

In his remark, the Chairman of the session and Director of Corporate Development in the Agency, Mr. Taiwo Ogundimu, tasked the participants to note the points raised for improved performance on their revenue target.
