 PALLIATIVE DISTRIBUTION: YNLG BOSS CHARGES COMMITTEE TO BE TRANSPARENT

           Members of the newly inaugurated Palliative Committee in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State have been charged to be transparent and sincere in the discharge of their duties while distributing the items to the people.

        


  Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Gabriel Ogunyomi, who gave the charge to members of the Committee at its inaugural meeting in Ayetoro, urged them to have a robust timetable to ensure even distribution of the palliative across the council area.         

          The Chairman stated that members of the Committee were carefully selected ahead of the arrival of the materials that would soon be delivered from the State government, for prompt distribution among the people. He commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for his sincerity in ensuring the well-being of residents.

          In his remark, a member of the Committee and former member of the State House of Assembly representing Ketu constituency, Hon. Job Akintan assured that the distribution of the palliatives would be properly carried out in line with the planned schedule and directive of the State Governor.

          Also speaking, a representative of security agencies in the Committee, who works with the Department of State Security (DSS) in Yewa North, Mr. Steve Ikukoyi expressed the readiness of the agencies to provide adequate security for the safety of the items from the point of distribution to the doorsteps of the people.

          Responding, the duo of Iyaloja General of the State, Alhaja Yemisi Abass and a former Liaison Officer in the Local Government, Alhaji Lukumon Akinyemi appreciated the State Governor for coming up with the plan to distribute the palliatives towards ameliorating the sufferings of the vulnerable in the council.

          The Committee comprises the Chairman, Hon. Gabriel Ogunyomi, Secretary, Hon. Mathew Adesi, while members include representatives of Monarchs, League of Imams, Christian Association of Nigeria, Market men and women, Community Development Council, Baales, Youth, among others.
