AOOLG ORGANISES PALLIATIVES DISTRIBUTION WORKING COMMITTEE.


The Ado Odo/Ota Local Government Chairman, Engr. Sheriff Adewale Musa FCPA has inaugurated a palliative distribution working committee as directed by the Executive Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun CON to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal by the Federal Government.  


At the event which took place at the Council's  Conference room, the Chairman charged the committee to ensure the smooth and hinge-free distribution of expected relief items by the Ogun State Government to the poorest of the poor in the Council Area.


The Council Boss appreciated the Governor of the State for bringing succour to the less privileged in the Council area. He also reiterated that the directive of the Ogun State Government to Ado Odo/Ota Local Government is to ensure that the palliatives are distributed among the poorest of the poor in the Council area. He added that the recipients will be drawn from the 655 polling units in each ward of the Council Area.



The Inaugurated Committee members are the Vice Chairman of Ado Odo/Ota Local Government Hon. Saidat Animashaun, The Secretary to the Local Government Mr. Abiodun Sejoro Leader of the House Hon. (Mrs.) Omosowon Bukola Balogun, Head of Local Government Administration Dr Adebola Bamgbose, Onitetiku of Owode HRM. Oba Abdul Wasiu Ogungbayi, Onikotun of Otun Ota HRM. Oba Odunaro Akeem,  Member Ogun State Central Working Committee on Palliative, Princes Feyikemi Egbeyemi, Former Transition Council Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Adewale Wasiu,  Prince Abiola Bakare,  Prophet Ajose Monday, Chairman League of Imam, Imam Adam Abdul Ahmed Christian Association of Nigeria Chairman Ota Centre Catechist A. Oladipo Pius, Chairman League of Imam and Alfa Ado Odo/Ota Alhaji Ganiyu Bankole, Co-ordinator of Ado-Odo Council of Baales, Baale Festus  Faleye,  Secretary League of Imam, Alhaji Ali Ishaq,  Chairman Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Council of Baales, Baale Ajayi Abila,  Caretaker Chairman Ado-Odo/Ota Zonal Community Development Committee, Evangelist Elijah Okelade,  Representative of Ogun State Community Development Council Prince Olatunji Onaolapo and Youths Representative.


Furthermore, the Council Boss stated that the Committee which is to be replicated at the ward levels will be saddled with the effective distribution and monitoring of the expected palliatives. He urged the Committee Members to see the task at hand as a call to service.
