 STATE-OWNED MEDIA STATIONS TASKED ON OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE  

          In a bid to revitalise and reposition the State-owned media stations, Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC) and Ogun State Television (OGTV), the Head of Service, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun has tasked the management of the stations, to think outside the box in creating fresh, exciting and people-focused contents.

        


  The Head of Service, who met the management teams of the two stations led by their General Managers, Mrs. Toyin Sogbesan and Mr. Tunde Kassim at the conference room of his office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, challenged them to come up with new innovations that would increase their audiences' listenership and viewership respectively.

          Mr. Fagbohun stated that they should come up with fresh ideas that would make the stations more attractive and competitive with people-oriented programmes, saying, "I invited you to come and do what we call the balance sheet of how you run your outfits and look at the way we can do it better by bringing in new innovations that can excite and appeal to our audience".

          Earlier in his address, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Mr. Waheed Adesina said the meeting was called to brainstorm on how best to enhance the media contents of both stations for better service delivery.

          Reacting on behalf of the management teams, the duo of Mr. Gbenga Omotunde of OGBC and Mr. Abiodun Alabi of OGTV, promised to look inwards and improve on their content and programming.
