 *Ado-Odo/Ota LG Gets Fair Share, more to come*




The Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Eng. Noimot Salako-Oyedele has said that Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government with highest Population and  Industrial Center in Ogun State is receiving appropriate attention to develop it socio- economically.


The Deputy Governor, Noimot Salako- Oyedele made this clarification during an interactive session with Journalists' in her country home in Ota adding that, Local Governments can't fund their developmental programmes without the state Government's intervention towards creating conducive environment to woo investors as a result of low Federal allocation and overhead costs.



Engineer Salako-Oyedele, while responding to questions from  Journalists, confirm that Governor Dapo Abiodun led administration has been pro-active in fast tracking development in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government in particular and the State in general through renovation and construction of over 1,000 Classroom Blocks across the State, ensuring completion of various abandoned projects of the past Administration.




She said the present Administration is not autocratic in nature to take obnoxious decisions without taking cognisance of the People's interest, adding that the present Administration has demonstrated it's a People-oriented  Government which in no doubt has been the yardstick for its success.


The Deputy Governor  reiterated the readiness and commitment of the present Administration to fast track, the socio- economic activities of the entire state saying the three and half years were characterised with the Global Health pandemic and it's attendant Economic impact, slowed down Government activities initially, to ensure continuity and facilitate rapid development, Governor Dapo Abiodun deserves the second term in order to complete and sustain creation of more people oriented projects she concluded.


She commended members Ota Union of Journalists for facilitating the interactive session to ginger Government on accelerated Development adding that the present Government in its first tenure has surpassed its predesesor in infrastructural development.


The former two time Ogun State Commissioner, Chief Jide Ojuko added that Ado-odo/Ota Local Government has embraced People from all parts of the Country, not minding the state they come from, to represent it in various capacities saying the law allow any one who has stayed in a place for ten years is eligible to contest Election.


In his remark, the Ota Union of Journalists'  Comrade Tunji Egbewunmi( Octagon) thanked the Deputy Governor for her  clarification on many issues during the interactive session adding that the Union will not relent in its efforts to serve as perception management as well as feedback agents to both the Publics and the Government#
