ABIODUN APPROVES 2021,2022 PROMOTION EXERCISE FOR WORKERS, TO PAY LEAVE BONUS
In a bid to boost the morale of Civil Servants in Ogun State, the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has approved the commencement of promotion exercise for workers in the State for year 2021 and 2022.
Prince Abiodun, who made this known during an interactive session with a cross section of Civil Servants at the June 12 Cultural Center, Abeokuta, said his government had utmost sincerity of purpose towards their welfare.
The Governor affirmed that all had been set for the commencement of the payment of leave bonus to the workers, adding that the payment would commence in January 2023.
He said, "I have instructed the Head of Service to begin preparation for the promotion exercise for year 2021 and 2022. I just want to plead with you to continue to be patient and show understanding, I want you to see me as a Governor with utmost sincerity of purpose’’.
The State helmsman stated that the government had agreed with labour leaders to pay leave bonus as from January 2023, which would be implemented in installments with workers’ salaries, noting that many Civil Servants had benefited from the present’s administration housing projects and other laudable programmes.
Governor Abiodun said his government was concerned about the resident’s well-being and had manifested in the provision of infrastructural projects across the State, pointing out that the ground breaking of the Sagamu-Papalanto-Ilaro road would be done next week.
The Governor commended the workers for their support and contributions to the development of the State, since the inception of the present administration.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro while acknowledging the Governor Abiodun for facilitating the interactive session, added that Junior staff from levels one to six, intermediate staff from levels seven to 13 and senior staff from level 14 were all mobilised to be part of the meeting.
