ST. MICHAEL AFRICAN CHURCH PRY. SCH. EMERGES BEST IN NIGERIA, LG BOSS CELEBRATES


The Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Engr Sheriff Adewale Musa in his usual practice of identifying with excellence has celebrated the St Michael African Church Primary School 1, Ota which was adjudged  the best Public Primary School in Nigeria by the Federal Ministry of Education during the 2022  World Teacher's Day Celebration and President's Teacher's Schools Excellence Awards.


In his welcome address Engr. Sheriff Adewale Musa appreciated God Almighty for the remarkable feat that was achieved by St Michael African Church Primary School 1 Ota during the awards held at the Nation's capital,Abuja.

The Head of Local Government Administration Dr Adebola Bamgbose also thanked the school for reciprocating the efforts of government at the State and local levelb thanking the Council Boss for prompt payment of teachers salaries in Ado-Odo Ota Local Government as it has helped improved the moral of teachers.

 He urged other schools in the Council area to emulate St Michael African Church Primary School 1 Ota that has brought glory to the Council area in particular and Ogun State as a whole.

Earlier speaking, the Head teacher of St Michael African Church Primary School 1 Ota Prince Isiyemi Akinyemi Adeniji thanked the Council Boss for his time to host the team from the school. 

He acknowledged the efforts of Engr Sheriff Adewale Musa at boosting the level of education in public primary schools which was exhibited on his assumption of office when he embarked on motivational talks of public primary schools in the Council area which has improved the performances of pupils positively. 

Adeniji also appreciated the Governor of Ogun State His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR at improving the standard of Education in schools most especially public primary schools urging the people of the Council area and State as a whole to vote massively for the return of the Governor.

The Director of General Services and Administration of the Council Prince Oloruntoba Dada who is an alumni of St.Michael African Church Primary School 1 Ota was full of joy said the teachers will not relent on their oaths  at improving the level of education in Ado-Odo Ota Local Government and the State as a whole.

It will be recalled that the same school won the best Public Primary School during the celebration of Teachers day in Ogun State. The school was rewarded with a 18- seater JAC bus at the Federal level.
