Nigeria startup Bill excites Presidency
SENIOR Special Assistant to the president on Digital Transformation, Oswald Guobadia has hailed the National Assembly for its commitment to the Nigeria Startup Bill.
Guobadia said: “I’m impressed and excited by the progress the bill had at the National Assembly. Both chambers have transmitted the bill with to the committees and continue to prioritise interest of youths.
“We believe the bill represents opportunities for our youths in the most aggressively growing sector. This is the future. I have no doubt that they will see to its passage in weeks.”
Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Dr. Isa Pantami, during a meeting with the National Assembly, discussed importance of the Nigeria Startup Bill, saying, “what many young founders need is an enabling environment and legislation to protect their businesses.”
Chairman of Senate Committee on ICT and Cyber Security Yakuza Oseni promised to work with stakeholders to ensure an acceptable outcome for the bill.
