OGUN COMMISSIONS MULTI-DOOR COURT IN OTA

 Ina bid to ensure flexibility and speedy justice dispensation of disputes, particularly for litigants, Ogun State Government has established another multi-door Court in Ota.  


This brings to four of such Courts in the State as government had earlier established three multi-door court in Abeokuta, Ijebu-Ode and Sagamu.

Speaking while commissioning the newest court located within the premise of Ota High Court, the State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, observed  that it would continue to improve and complement the operations of existing courts across the State.

Salako-Oyedele assured residents of the commitment of the Prince Dapo Abiodun administration to ensuring quality judicial system in the State, saying "I pledge to contribute my own quota to support, so that people in the community can benefit from the new Multi-door Court house.

Earlier in her speech, the State Chief Judge, Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu explained that the multi-door court is an alternative dispute resolution mechanism, which gave birth to early neutral evaluation, negotiation, conciliation, mediation and arbitration.

Justice Dipeolu added that since the creation of the first Multi-door Court house at Isabo in Abeokuta, a total of 892 cases have been filed, as at the end of January 2021, noting that " I must say that gradually, litigants are becoming more aware of the benefits of filing their cases in the Multi-door Court houses", she said.       The Chief Judge appreciated Chief Oluseun Akinbiyi and his wife, Hon. Justice Sonia Akinbiyi for donating the Court house, saying it is one of the seven-point agenda towards repositioning the justice sector.

In his goodwill message, the Chairman, Ogun Multi-door Court Governing Council, Rtd. Hon. Justice Solomon Olugbemi, urged the people of Ogun West Senatorial District to embrace the new Court.

The Commissioning was attended to by Honourable Judges, Magistrates, Members of Judicial Service Commission, Royal fathers, members of Bar and Bench in Ota and Ilaro.
