TO ENSURE EFFICIENT BUDGETING OGSG INAUGURATES SECTORAL WORKING COMMITTEE
A sectoral Technical Working Committee (TWC), have been inaugurated with a charge to monitor and evaluate proposed projects and programmes of agencies, in order to avoid wastage, duplication of projects, ensure accurate record keeping, as well as registration of all government assets.
She charged the Committee to avail themselves with all relevant templates for reporting, documentations, monitoring and evaluation for higher productivity and efficiency in governmental activities.
In his contribution, the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of State Pensions, Mr. Olakunle Sodeinde, urged members to synergise with the respective Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) unit in their various MDAs, to ensure they deliver on their proposed projects and programmes.
In their separate responses, representatives of Ministries of Women Affairs and Social Development, Budget and Planning, Mr. Emmanuel Olawade and Mr. Musibau Onigbinde respectively, harped on the importance of monitoring and evaluation of projects and activities of agencies concerned, adding that proposals must complement the existing projects among other things, just as Committee members should work together to achieve a common goal and render feedback of activities to the Ministry of Budget and Planning
