We " ll Revamp Schools  Under MCDC- OGSG 

Ogun State Government has restated its commitment to giving face-lifts to the two schools, under the Ministry of Community Development and Cooperatives.

     

      Commissioner in the Ministry, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat stated this during a familiarization tour of Social Development Institute, Shasha, Iperu and Cooperative College, Ijeja, Abeokuta, saying the visits were to assess condition of the schools’ facilities.  

Hon. Hamzat noted that education was the bedrock of any nation, promising State government’s commitment at ensuring that basic needs of the two schools were met.

          The Permanent Secretary, Ms Oluseye Fatudimu said all hands would be on deck to give the schools a face lift, in order to have world class graduates.

          Highlighting the challenges facing the schools, the Principal, Cooperative College, Ijeja, Abeokuta, Mr. Fattah Ibraheem, stated that the school needs government’s assistance in prompt accreditation to offer more courses, renovation of structures, more classrooms, as well as upgrading of facilities and equipment.

          Remarking, the Principal, Social Development Institute, Shasha, Iperu, Mr. Ayinla Sulaimon, appealed for government’s intervention on the school library, rehabilitation of building for a conducive environment, as well as, capacity building for the staff.
