Ogun So-Safe Corps arrests ex- convict for snatching motorcycle
The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (SO-SAFE), has on Monday July 6, 2020 arrested a young man, Wasiu Raji, for snatching a Red Bajaj Boxer Motorcycle with chassis no: md2dddmzzswj95346 and Engine No: Dumbtk99781 from its owner Mr Ogundele Adeyemi.
The ex-convict, Wasiu Raji, according to a press statement released by the Corps Director of Information and Public Relations Officer, ACC Moruf Yusuf, is serial crime suspect who has been terrorising, disrupting the existing peace and robbing people of their property in Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State
The statement indicated that the suspect who mounted an illegal road block in the bush at Ihunbo along Ita-Egbe Town, located at Ipokia Local Government Area, was caught having used Jack Knife and a very long stick to snatched the Bajaj Boxer Motorcycle from the owner.
The suspect was in the past arrested by officers and men of the So-Safe Corps, Idiroko Division for burglary and stealing of four mobile phones and was jailed for six months after being found guilty of the offence.
The suspect an the exhibit recorvered from him have been transfered to Nigeria Police, Idiroko Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and prosecution.
