The Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engineer Noimot Oyedele-Salako has assured the entire residents of Ogun West Senatorial District that, the relief materials are sufficient to go round households, but, the widows and aged will be given a priority.
The Deputy Governor, Engineer Noimot Oyedele -Salako, made this statement during a monitoring visit to Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government advising people to adhere strictly to the government policy on lockdown exercise in order to detect more cases of covid-19 and find a lasting solution to the pandemic.
According to her, the relief materials will be distributed at the door -step of every household as no one will be exempted adding that youths should be patient by allowing the widows and aged people in the community to be taken care of before their consideration.
" I am not satisfied as the gathering in the local government is not in conformity with regulations of staying in door and maintaining a total distance to curb the spread of the disease, otherwise, I will direct the Commissioner of Police to enforce the rules. people should leave the premises as the relief materials will be available at their door step,"the Deputy Governor said.
She promised that the present adminstration in Ogun State under the leadership of Prince Dapo Abiodun will always do the needful to alleviate poverty from the society, improve the infrastructure and see to the well - being of Ogun State residents.
A member, Ogun State House of Assembly representing constituency 1 in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Honourable, Sheriff Yusuf said adequate arrangement has been made on how the relief materials will be distributed without any discrepancy in order to cushion the effect of the lockdown on the residents.
He enjoined the people to stay in door and ensure hygienic procedure of washing hands regularly, maintaining appropriate distance saying the issue of Corona Virus will soon be totally eradicated in our country.
A member of Ogun State Judicial Committee, Honourable , Aina Akinpelu in his remarks said everyone will have a share of the relief materials, the widows, aged and youths adding that as the Deputy Governor has rightly said, the widows and aged people should be considered before our amiable youths in the community.
